I was tagged by Holly Kelly, author of the Rising series, to post seven lines from my current work in progress. I'm going to use this opportunity to give you a sneak peek at my upcoming super secret project with the authors who brought you Fractured Glass. We're back at it again... a new story, a new collaboration that is unlike anything you'll find on book shelves today. Fractured Glass was genre-bending because it was ONE continuous story written by FIVE different authors. The new project, which will be referred to as "7" is so much fun and I can't wait to share it with you. In the meantime, here are seven lines from one of the pages ending in seven: “Wake up,” Tommy’s soft voice coaxed Nichole from a dreamless sleep. It wasn’t like her to doze like that, especially in a taxi cab with two virtual strangers. The adrenaline fleeing her system must have impacted her more than she thought. Blinking, she looked around. The street and buildings were unfamiliar, but that didn’t surprise her. Without much excess money, she didn’t own a car. It was a luxury to take a cab, and she mainly walked everywhere. I wish I could share the cover with you, because it's incredible, but we're not quite ready for that yet. Instead, I'll give you a glimpse at Nichole, the main character in the excerpt I provided above. What do you think? To complete the game, I'll tag seven other authors, starting with my partners in crime: Jo Michaels, Tia Silverthorne-Bach, Casey Bond, and Nichole Greene. I'll also tag Jim Landwehr, Sandy Goldsworthy, and Valerie Biel. TAG - YOU'RE IT!
